Harrison Park
Ellijay, GA
Friends of Harrison Park is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2018. We are an all-volunteer group of North Georgia residents whose mission is to support our community and local government by working to bring improvements and amenities to Harrison Park. Friends of Harrison Park meet monthly to plan events for the community and spend hundreds of hours each year helping to improve and maintain the park grounds.
The 26 acre park, once a working farm, is bordered by the Ellijay River and a number of private homes and neighborhoods. Unique features of the park include over a mile of walking trails that encompass and loop through the park, a 100 year old barn and a 1 1/2 acre wildflower and pollinator meadow. Several benches and picnic tables have been installed as well as a recently constructed state of the art public restroom facility. READ MORE...
